A military dog who lost a leg when sniffing out a roadside bomb has been awarded the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross after serving in more than 400 missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lucca, a 12-year-old German shepherd, served in the US Marine Corps for six years, protecting the lives of troops by sniffing out munitions.

This is such an amazing story not every dog gets a story like this! This warms my heart & fills my eyes with tears of happiness! It truly says a lot about dogs & how all they really want is love & affection! It incredibly disgusting how people can be so vicious to dogs (instead of how everyone sees it the other way around) n so crazy that despite how they are treated dogs still stay loyal, & full of love! DOGS ARE AMAZING CREATURES & WE SHOULD ALL TREAT THEM WITH THE LOVE & RESPECT THEY DESERVE

"Lover not a fighter, kisser not a biter"- This is so true. People judge them based off how their owner may have raised them. You obviously need to go find one who was raised humanely. Any person or animal can be raised to be mean SO don't take it out on these beautiful pitbulls. Love them
